Overview

[99mTc]HYNIC-NC siRNA is a radiolabeled negative control small interfering RNA (siRNA) probe used in preclinical molecular imaging research. It consists of a non-targeting negative control siRNA sequence (which has no homology to the human genome) conjugated to the radionuclide technetium-99m (99mTc) via the bifunctional chelating agent hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC). This agent is primarily utilized as a negative control in single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging studies to evaluate the specificity and biodistribution of target-specific 99mTc-labeled siRNA imaging probes (such as those targeting MDM2 or HABP1) in tumor-bearing animal models.
